OLC Partner, Maui Nui Resource Council, Graduates First Class of Reef-Friendly Landscapers

OLC’s Hawai’i-based education partner, Maui Nui Marine Resource Council, ran their first Reef-Friendly Landscape training course, graduating seven participants in June. OLC staff worked closely with MNMRC as they modeled the course and certification on the NOFA Accreditation Course in Organic Land Care, adapted for Maui’s cultural and geographic needs. Maui Nui Marine Resource Council is excited to introduce its Reef Friendly Landscaping (RFL) Certification Program! This online certification course will help professional landscapers, property managers, and agricultural businesses move away from harmful synthetic products and instead, transition to reef-friendly landscaping practices.
