Compost Tea Workshop – July 20 in Ridgefield, CT
Join CT NOFA on July 20 in Ridgefield, CT as we explore how to make compost tea for various applications, and what that looks like under the microscope. Compost tea is produced by actively aerating compost in water with added amendments. Beneficial microbes from the compost consume the amendments, multiply by the billions, and in 24 hours, the finished compost tea can be applied to offer plant-available nutrients directly to the leaves and roots of plants.
We’ll brew various recipes, from home-brewed tea in a 5-gallon bucket, to a 50-gallon large scale brew for farms, then apply the tea using various methods.
This workshop is part of a CT NOFA educational series and is open to the public on a first-come-first-serve registration basis. AOLCPs can earn 3 CEUs and attend the course for only $20. Email us to receive the discount code before registering.
